The patron saint of travellers

Standing on a hillside in a field overlooking Bantry Bay, this ancient carving is held to celebrate St Brendan’s voyage in a curragh to America, several centuries before Columbus. St Brendan is the patron saint of sailors and travellers.

Our co-founder Kathleen Smyth carved this design based on a 1,000 year old standing stone. It has a carefully polished pure bronze finish with a ceramic resin cold cast pouring.

Dimensions: This piece comes in a Wild Goose Studio presentation box which measures 9 x 6 inches (22 x 15cm).
